Last week I debuted the 2011/2012 Bowl Predictions so naturally Stanford lost and threw everything into a funk. These predictions are a combination of where the teams stand today and how I predict they will finish out the season. A lot of the seedings also depend on which "at large" teams are chosen by the BCS Bowls. Last week I had Oregon and Boise State going to these "at large" bowls, this week Boise is out and Oregon has moved up to the Rose Bowl opening up those two slots for other teams. I flirted with Bama vs Stanford and Oklahoma vs Nebraska in the two "at large" bowls but I just don't see how they could pass up an undefeated Houston. Also, some of the conferences are not projecting to supply their full slate of teams so some replacements were taken that did not have fall back plans in terms of tie-ins (I am projecting the Pac-12, C-USA and Big 12 not using all of their bowl slots which opens up the Pinestripe, Beef O'Brady and New Mexico bowls to at-large teams of their own). Bowl eligible teams left on the outside looking in based on my projections are Air Force and Temple.
Tom from The Recruiting Eagle made some good observations about my potential Clemson/Auburn match-up in the Chick-fil-A bowl so I did swap out Auburn and Florida with Florida going to the Chick-fil-A and Auburn to the Gator.

I believe Georgia beats LSU in SEC championship game. Then we have a real mess trying to figure out who goes where
i honestly rather not play mich state.... 1st i think uga has alot better chance against lsu than many think...mainly the fact is we have a great defense and we have something bama doesn't a qb who has broken records already at uga and if you put Murray's numbers next to Andrew Luck...there isn't an massive difference in their season totals...
167- 273 2284yds 27td 8int -Murray
2695yd 29 td 7int-Luck
So this brings up my other question...if the heisman is based off of how you play why isnt Aaron Murray getting any props nation wide? He is having a record breaking year at uga and may break the all time carrer td record as a SOPHMORE
So again...I think uga matches better with lsu than they do bama and i like their chances...because defense wins championships and a great QB wins you ballgames verses great defenses... so no i dont want sparty... i want sugar.
I really hope the Chick-fil-A Bowl is not Clemson vs Auburn. A) They have already played this season B) They meet at the Georgia Dome to kick off the 2012 season
@WAR EAGLE TOM If Georgia plays like they did against Auburn then they have a shot. But Georgia also can't look too far ahead because Georgia Tech is a flawed team but they are a dangerous team. I will be real interested to see how the Georgia defense matches up with them.
In terms of LSU I wrote a piece for Crystal Ball Run yesterday that talked a little bit about a possible LSU/Georgia match-up.
@ColossalChicken A couple of things. In terms of these projections I took into account "likely" wins. I think LSU will likely beat Georgia (if they get past Arky) but Georgia definitely has a shot in the game, especially if they play like they did against Auburn. Of course, Georgia could also trip up against Georgia Tech.
Why isn't Aaron Murray in the Heisman race? That's simple. Georgia isn't a Top 10 team right now. Look at the Heisman race and tell me how many players not in the Top 10 are in the Heisman race. Houston (at No 11) is slightly different because Keenum has broken NCAA records and his team is undefeated.
@WAR EAGLE TOM Good point Tom. I looked over the bowls for any re-matches but definitely missed that one. Maybe Clemson slides down to ACC #3 and plays Notre Dame in the Champs Sports Bowl and FSU moves up to the Chik-Fil-A to beat (I mean play) Auburn.
The other choice would be flipping Florida out of the Gator and up to the Chik-Fil-A to play Clemson while Auburn moves down to the Gator to play Ohio State.
