As a college football blogger I appreciate the time and passion that goes into writing and following a team, a conference or just college football in general. I've been thinking about doing this for a while and with the college football season beginning there is no better time than the present. These are the college football websites that I (as well as Tom from the Recruiting Eagle) visit on a daily basis, as our schedule permits, and the sites that I think you should check out if you haven't already. The first three of these websites were submitted by Tom and the last seven by myself (but that doesn't mean I don't love the first three!).
The guy that runs it was formerly an academic advisor at Baylor and Arkansas. One of the best features of this website is the "Road Trips" where they "scour the country for the best local eateries in each college town, where to see the best tailgating on game day, the stadium experience, what Greek life looks like, the traditions unique to each university, and glancing at church options on Sunday morning after the big game as we explore the passion of college football." They also have a part of their website designed just for women. Overall, it's a very diverse and passionate website and we appreciate that here at CFBZ.
This is, at least what I consider to be, the college football flagship of the SB Nation blogs. Their tag-line is "because college football is too important to be left to the professionals." They are home to the Fulmer Cup and recently had one of their writers, Holly Anderson, hired by Sports Illustrated to write their Campus Union blog. What other college football blog has been out on the high seas with the Pirate Mike Leach and lived to tell about it?
Tom: This site has come a long way. Obviously, I love the SEC focus and since I am trapped in ACC territory I don’t mind that coverage.
Kevin: Simply go to this site's "about" page and look down the list of writers that this site offers. It's an impressive list. I'm sure once you've seen it you too will start visiting this site if you aren't already.
